August 11, 1993
City of Little Canada
515 E. Little Canada Rd.
Little Canada, MN 55117
RE: Volleyball at Gordies Bar
Dear Mayor and City Council Members:
As a result of the letter received on the above subject at Gordies Bar compels
me to relate the following stance: As an 11 year resident of Fleur Royale
Condominiums, I strongly object to the volleyball playing at Gordies Bar. My
unit directly faces the playing area on third floor and is subject to the
constant noise and interruption.
Further, as a homeowner of one of St. Paul's highest property taxed suburbs, I
do not feel I should be subjected to this constant noise. My high taxes pay for
park and recreation areas for these purposes. The use of any other area for
these regular activities that is so close to residential units is unacceptable
and a waste of my tax dollars! In addition, prospective home buyers at one of
the open houses at Fleur Royale were looking at a unit for sale this past weekend
and negatively commented on the volleyball playing area! Guests in my home have
commented on the noise too. So, what do you all think of that?
On behalf of the residents at Fleur Royale, I ask you to not approve volleyball
playing at Gordies Bar. Thank you.
Yours truly,
Lisa Kreter
Fleur Royale Condominiums
Page 48
