Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached is the information relative to the LaBore Road
street assessments. Once again, the assessment rate to be
levied is substantially under that which was initially
proposed. ($53.93 proposed verses $43.22 actual) This is
primarily due to the adoption of the street assessment
policy. It should also be noted that the balance of costs
associated with this project are financed by Municipal
State Aid funds.
A deferment listing is attached for this project as well.
For 469 LaBore Road, the possible deferment results in a
levied assessment based upon a maximum of of 125 feet
pursuant to the street assessment policy. The balance
would be payable should the property be subdivided. Two
additional lots could be created in this situation. It is
also my understanding that this individual may apply for a
senior citizen deferral on the entire assessment. (Please
keep in mind that interest would accrue from the date of
levy even if the assessment is deferred.) The other parcel
is at 525 LaBore Road. Here again, the lot is
subdividable. It is also affected by the Vanderbie
project. One Hundred Twenty -five feet would still be
assessed if the lot is not subdivided and the balance could
be deferred.
JRH:kpv
Enclosure
,o Page 3
