Hanson
Enclosed in the agenda materials are the Planning
Commission minutes from November 2, 1993. One item
discussed at this meeting related to changes in our
ordinance governing the screening materials acceptable for
outdoor storage. As the minutes indicate, this issue
originated with the Community Pride Committee relative to
code enforcement in Ryan Industrial Park.
The Planning Commission recommended amending the ordinance
to allow chain link with slats as an acceptable material
for use in screening of outdoor storage areas. If the
Council concurs with that recommendation, we would need to
direct the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance amendment
addressing same. This ordinance would be subject to public
hearing because it is part of the Zoning Code.
Page 36
