OCT -22 -1993 11:00 FROM SWEENEY BORER & OSTROW TO LITTLE CANADA P.02/03 ORDINANCE NO, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2901.030, 2901.040, 2901.060 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, RELATING TO THE DEFERRAL OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: section 1. Section 2901.030 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: 2901.030. EXISTING DOCUMENTS. Any person who is over sixty -five (65) years of age or disabled and who has been granted a deferment by reason of age or disability prior to the enactment of this Ordinance shall be required to make application for a continuation of said deferment pursuant to the provisions of this Ordinance. Such applicants may be required to show evidence of hardship as herein defined in order to continue receiving a deferment and a failure to qualify for a deferment may result in the termination of said deferment effective at a time chosen by the City Council in its discretion. Section 2. Section 2901.040 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: 2901.040. DEVELOPMENTAL DEFERRAL. Upon approval of the appropriate application, the City Council, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §429.061, Subd. 2, may defer the payment of the first installment of any special assessment levied upon unimproved property until a designated future year, or until the platting of the property, or the construction of improvements thereon, upon such terms and conditions and based upon such standards and criteria as may be provided by resolution of the Council. Section 3. Section 2901.060 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: 2901.060. INTEREST.
