LITTLE CANADA
PARKS AND RECREATBON
DEPARTMENT
5 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55 1 1 7-1 600
(651) 766-4029 /FAX: (65 I) 766-4048
www.ci.l itde-canada.m n.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Parks & Recreation Commission
FROM: Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director
DATE: January 25, 2006
11M MORELAN, Director
(651)766-4045
DON BOWMAN, Program Coordinator
(65 I) 766-4041
DEREK ANDERSON, Program Coordinator
(651) 766-4041
BRAD VOLK, Maintenance Supervisor
(651) 766-4056
RE: Proposed Parks & Recreation Program Fees for 2006
Attached is a list of proposed fees for various Parks and Recreation programs and charges for
2006. These fees were based on the analysis of past program revenues and expenses, with the
goal of making most programs self-sustaining from the program fees. I also gave consideration
to fees charged by other parks and recreation departments in our area.
Based on this criteria, I recommend adopting the following fee schedule for 2006. I also would
like to maintain discretion to change any fees during the year as might prove necessary to
achieve the above goal due to more current cost information being available at the time the
program is conducted.
In setting the fees, consideration was also given to the 20% fee subsidy that the LCRA provides.
I made a request for that subsidy at their January meeting and it was approved.
FC\Krisp\parks & Recrea[ion\Miscellaneous\PLLS.000
2
