L. 2009, <br />Chap. 182 <br />Utah Code § 76- <br />10- 101,104, <br />105, I l l <br />Suffolk County, A Local Law <br />New York Banning the <br />Sale of E- <br />Cigarettes to. <br />Persons Under <br />the Age of 19, <br />Local Law No. <br />29 -2009 <br />Organizations <br />Americans for <br />Nonsmokers' <br />Rights <br />Model <br />Ordinance <br />Prohibits sale of c- cigarettes and liquid nicotine to minors, <br />distribution of free samples of such products in a public <br />place, and use of such products on grounds of any public <br />educational facility. <br />Definition: "E- cigarette means any electronic smoking <br />device composed of a mouthpiece, a heating element, a <br />battery, and electronic circuits that provides a vapor of pure <br />nicotine mixed with propylene glycol to the user as the user <br />simulates smoking. This term shall include such devices <br />whether they are manufactured as e- cigarettes, e- cigars, <br />ore - pipes, or under any other product name." <br />Prohibits the smoking of tobacco products and the use of <br />electronic smoking devices in all enclosed indoor places of <br />public access and workplaces. <br />Definition: "Electronic smoking device means an <br />electronic device that can be used to deliver nicotine or <br />other substances to the person inhaling from the device, <br />including, but not limited to, an electronic cigarette, cigar, <br />cigarillo, or pipe." <br />Regulates sale, gift, or distribution of e- cigarettes by <br />manufacturer, wholesaler, or retailer. <br />Definition: "Electronic cigarette means any device, other <br />than a cigarette or cigar, intended to deliver vapor <br />containing nicotine into a person's respiratory <br />system." <br />Prohibits the sale of e- cigarettes to minors and "the use of <br />e- cigarettes and like products in public places where <br />traditional forms of smoking are already allowed." <br />Definition: "E- cigarette shall mean any electronic device <br />composed of' a mouthpiece, heating element, battery and <br />electronic circuits that provides a vapor of liquid nicotine <br />and /or other substances mixed with propylene glycol to the <br />user as he or she simulates smoking.
