515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 551174600 <br />(651) 766 -4029 / FAX: (651) 766 -4048 <br />www.ci.little-canada.mn.us <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />IMPROVEMENT NO. 2013-08 <br />TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br />MAYOR <br />13i11 Blesener <br />COUNCIL. <br />Rick Montour <br />John ICeis <br />Michael McGraw <br />Shelly Boss <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />Joel R. llanson <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council will meet at 7:15 P.M. on Wednesday, <br />September 25, 2013 at the City Center located at 515 East Little Canada Road in said City to <br />consider, and possibly adopt, the proposed assessment for the cost of the improvement of <br />Pinetree Pond development by streets, utilities, grading, and drainage including storm sewer. <br />Adoption of the proposed assessment may occur at the hearing. All properties abutting said <br />improvement are proposed to be assessed. <br />The amount to be specially assessed against the Pinetree Pond Development is a total of <br />$855,000.00 or $57,000.00 per lot. Such assessment is proposed to be payable in equal annual <br />installments extending over a period of three years, the first of the installments to be payable on <br />or before the first Monday in January, 2014, and will bear interest at the rate of three and three - <br />quarter percent (3.75 %) per annum from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution. <br />To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date specified in <br />the assessment resolution until December 31, 2013. To each subsequent installment when due <br />shall he added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. <br />You may at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the Ramsey County auditor, pay <br />the entire assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the City <br />of Little Canada. No interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days <br />from the adoption of this assessment. You may at any time thereafter, pay to the county auditor <br />the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of <br />the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made before November 15 or <br />interest will be charged through December 31 of the succeeding year. If you decide not to <br />prepay the assessment before the date given above, the rate of interest that will apply is <br />Three and three- quarter percent (3.75 %) per year. The right to partially prepay the assessment <br />according to Ordinance No. 369 is available. <br />
