Outline for <br />New Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District <br />Campus Education Program <br />Goal: To provide stormwater education to specific audiences on topics pertaining to the New <br />Office Campus and the drainage area, as well as adjacent parks. <br />Objectives: <br />1. Increase the education value of the public use areas of the District office building. <br />2. Increase the education value of the District grounds. <br />3. Increase the education value of Gervais Mill Pond park., adjacent to the DistricC campus. <br />Increase the education value of the District camapus locationrn relation to the proximity of <br />Gervais Lake, Gervais Creek, the bike path and drainage area of our location. <br />Components to be considered: <br />1. Internal office az~eas conducive to public education items. <br />2. Office grounds conducive to monitoring, signing and demonstrations. <br />3. Adjacent park grounds and water resources conducive to watershed education. <br />4. Volunteer opportunities on campus and along adjacent areas. <br />5. Public use of the library video loan program, multi-purpose room and Board room. <br />Message Media: <br />1. Print material such as fact sheets. <br />2. Signage indoors and outside, on WD property and adjacent public property (Little Canada <br />Parks). <br />3. Items for indoors such as computer kiosk, lab equipment, interactive items for varied-age <br />groups, video viewing, CD viewing, photo story board/wall. <br />~}. Tours with target audiences. <br />5. Events: Grand Opening, Annual tour. <br />Promotions for educational dimensions of our office campus: <br />1. Web-related promotion: RWMWD, Green Pages Web Listing, MWSP, MNRUNOFF. <br />2. eNewsletter. <br />3. Monthly column in Lillie Newspapaer. <br />4. Group tours. <br />5. Event related promotion. <br />6. Raptor release event. <br />7. Grand opening. <br />8.
