Jerry A. Bourdon, P.E. <br />Associate Principal <br />Project Manager /Engineer <br />Education <br />South Dakota State University <br />* Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering -1974 <br />Experience <br />Mr. Bourdon joined Bonestroo in 1974. He has <br />worked in various positions specializing in <br />municipal civil engineering. Jerry also serves as <br />the consulting engineer for Cottage Grove, MN. He <br />has experience in all phases of municipal civil <br />design, including: <br />* Field surveys * Construction inspection <br />* Project design * Contract documents <br />* Project management. <br />Jerry has served as design engineer and/or <br />construction project manager for projects in many <br />municipalities including: <br />* Plymouth, MN * Hastings, MN <br />* Northfield, MN * Woodbury, MN <br />* Cottage Grove, MN * Oak Park Heights, MN <br />* Eagan, NIN * Hudson, WI <br />* Maple Grove, MN <br />His experience spans a wide range of projects <br />including: <br />* Infrastructure reconstruction <br />* Residential, commercial and industrial <br />development <br />* Transportation improvements <br />* Trunk utility system improvements. <br />He has developed expertise in the preparation of <br />comprehensive studies, feasibility reports, <br />construction plans, specifications and contract <br />documents. He is attuned to the importance of <br />communication between a consulting engineer and <br />city staff, contractors, developers, residents and the <br />general public. <br />Jerry served as a team leader responsible for the <br />planning and design of the Hudson, Wisconsin, <br />infrastructure improvements serving the St. Croix <br />Meadows Greyhound Racing Park, which opened <br />in spring of 1991. The construction value of the <br />infrastructure improvements total 53.6 million. <br />This work required a strong working relationship <br />with the Wisconsin Departments of Transportation <br />and Natural Resources. <br />Jerry served for several years as Bonestroo's area <br />supervisor for the firm's south Twin City area <br />construction services group. He managed field <br />operations staff that consisted of up to four <br />construction project managers, four survey crews <br />and three project inspectors. In this role his <br />responsibilities included coordination, contract <br />administration, and quality control for both the <br />public and private municipal improvements <br />within the City of Eagan.
