515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Hanson & Members of the City Council
Joel Hanson, City Administrator
FROM: Dave Harris, Public Works Superintendent
DATE: September 4, 1994
RE: Fill Permit for Edmund Lee
145 East Viking Drive in Little Canada
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
On Thursday, September 1, 1994, I visited the above - referenced
site to get an idea of what Mr. Lee is proposing to fill. After
doing a complete walk- through and making notes, I contacted Cliff
Aichinger of the Watershed District. Cliff and I walked the area
on Friday, September 2, 1994 and were in concurrence with the
things that should be done relating to conditions of the permit.
It was also noted that the proposed area that is being filled is
in the right -of -way.
Enclosed with this memo is Mr. Lee's site plan and a highlighted
section map showing the area that is proposed to be filled. At
this time, I would recommend approval of the Lee fill permit
under the following conditions:
* Filled area boundaries to be staked so when the dirt is
being leveled, they do not exceed the staked area.
* In the proposed area to be filled, a 3 to 1 slope must
be maintained at finished grade.
* All brush and debris be removed prior to filling.
* Once area is filled and graded, make sure that it is
seeded and mulched to prevent any erosion which would
run on to the Huot property.
If you have any questions regarding this memo, please feel free
to contact me at your earliest convenience.
DBH:kpv
Enclosures
cc: Edmund Lee
Page 13
