7200 Warner Road <br />October 26, 1994 <br />P H A L E N <br />C H A I N <br />OF LAKES <br />WATERSHED <br />PROJECT <br />• St Paul MN 55706 • ph: 612/772 -7980 <br />Joel Hanson <br />City of Little Canada <br />515 East Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, Minnesota 55117 <br />Dear Joel: <br />The Phalen Chain of Lakes Watershed Project Steering Committee has completed the <br />Comprehensive Natural Resources Plan for the Watershed, and are now seeking endorsement <br />of the plan's goals and recommendations by local governments and organizations in the <br />watershed. <br />I am writing on behalf of the Steering Committee to request time on the Little Canada City <br />Council agenda on November 9 to discuss key points of the plan, to get comments on the future <br />of the project, including the Committee's proposed Natural Resources Board for the Watershed, <br />and to request formal endorsement of the plan by the Council. <br />I have enclosed a copies of the plan for city staff or elected officials, as well as the proposed <br />Partnership Agreement and 6 -page project summary that you may provide to the Council <br />members as background for the discussion on November 9. <br />We have appreciated the participation of Bev Scalze, Bob Pederson, Dennis Carson, and Dave <br />Harris from your city in our project and the development of the watershed plan.
