Home Occupations. Any occupation or profession engaged in by <br />the occupants of the dwelling or accessory building when <br />conducted within said dwelling or accessory building, or when <br />conducted upon a parcel of land containing the dwelling unit, <br />provided that evidence of the occupation is not visible from <br />the street. The acts of gardening in such a parcel shall be <br />included therein, but excepted from the requirement that it <br />not be visible from the street. In cases of home occupation <br />as defined herein, there shall be no over - the - counter sale of <br />merchandise produced off the premise, except for those <br />products that are not marketed and sold in a wholesale or <br />retail outlet; examples of such products include but are not <br />limited to the following: Avon, Fuller Brush, and Shakley <br />Products. In no instances shall the home occupation adversely <br />affect the character of the uses permitted in the Zoning <br />District in which the property is located. <br />I. Impervious Surface. An artificial or natural surface through <br />which water, air, or roots cannot penetrate. <br />* Intensive Vegetation Clearing. The complete removal of trees <br />or shrubs in a contiguous patch, strip, row, or block. <br />Intermittent. A stream or portion of a stream that flows only <br />in direct response to precipitation. <br />J. Junk Yard. Land or buildings where waste, discarded or <br />salvaged material are bought, sold, exchanged, stored, <br />cleaned, packed, disassembled or handled, including, but not <br />limited to, scrap metal, rags, paper, hides, rubber products, <br />glass products, lumber products, and products resulting from <br />the wrecking of automobiles or other vehicles. <br />K. * No definitions <br />L. Land Reclamation. The process of the re- establishment of <br />acceptable topography (i.e. slopes), vegetative cover, soil <br />stability and the establishment of safe conditions appropriate <br />to the subsequent use of the land. <br />Loading Berth. A space accessible from a street, alley or <br />way, in a building or on a lot, for the use of trucks while <br />loading and unloading merchandise or materials. <br />Lodging House.
