PROCLAMATION <br />ARBOR DAY <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada has been recognized by <br />the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City <br />USA since 1991; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada recognizes that trees <br />beautify our surroundings, improve our quality of <br />life, increase property values and enhance the <br />economic vitality of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, The City has had a successful program of planting <br />trees in City Parks, along streets and other <br />public spaces; and <br />WHEREAS, The City has encouraged residents and property <br />owners to plant trees on private property <br />throughout the City; and <br />WHEREAS, The City is currently implementing a tree planting <br />program throughout the City through the Minnesota <br />Re -Leaf Program; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that I, Raymond G. Hanson, Mayor <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota do hereby <br />proclaim April 29, 1994 as Arbor Day in the City <br />of Little Canada. <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the month of May be "Arbor Month" <br />and that an observance of Arbor Day and Arbor Month will be held <br />on April 30, 1994 at Gervais Mill Park in the City of Little <br />Canada. <br />Raymond G.
