Hanson At the February 9th meeting the Council discussed the status of the Community Pride Committee and the need to make that committee active again. The Council also asked staff to provide a listing of responsibilities for the Community Pride Committee. These suggestions are as follows: Community Development Issues; Business Retention; City Beautification; Code Enforcement. Staff was further directed to prepare an article for the next City newsletter seeking individuals interested in serving on the Committee. For your review I have included that article below. CITY OF LITTLE CANADA COMMUNITY PRIDE COMMITTEE The Council of the City of Little Canada is seeking individuals from both the residential and business communities to serve on a Community Pride Committee. The Committee will meet a minimum of six times per year. Meetings will typically be held on a bi- monthly basis with the frequency to be determined by need. Meetings will convene at 7:00 A.M. unless the Committee decides upon a different meeting time. Areas of committee responsibility will include advising the City Council of the Committee's perspective on issues related to community development, business retention, City beautification, code enforcement, and other areas assigned by the City Council.
