Chief Bob Liebel <br />Mr. Randy Graczyk <br />Mr. Rick Boss <br />Mr. Tim Boss <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />The City Administrator reported that the purpose of tonight's workshop <br />meeting is to review budget /contract issues with the Little Canada Fire <br />Department. Those issues include the level of relief contributions, the <br />proposed establishment of duty crews, and special event funding. The <br />Administrator indicated that with regard to special event funding, it <br />appears that this level of funding is higher than what other departments do. <br />The Administrator suggested that the level of funding be discussed as well <br />as whether or not this item should continue as a line item in the <br />Department's budget. <br />With regard to the issue of duty crews, Steve Morelan indicated that many <br />of the surrounding fire departments have duty crews. For example, the <br />City of Roseville staffs their fire stations 24 hours per day /7 days per <br />week. Vadnais Heights staffs during day -time hours, and Maplewood <br />staffs with both full -time and part -time personnel 24/7. Morelan indicated <br />that most departments came to this decision based on response times. He <br />
