This would be to eliminate the carryover
of only the Conditional Uses in those districts. This would permit the B-3 District to allow Auto
Parts, but not fast food, auto repair, auto sales lots, car washes, or other uses which the City
Council has indicated the least amount of support for. It is assumed that once the Rice Street
Study and the Comprehensive Plan are complete, that further tinkering with the allowable uses
in the various districts might be in order, however this change would serve at least a short term
objective of eliminating auto repair or fast food from the B -3 District. Thus, Section 912.020
(Permitted Uses) would remain as now written, and Section 912.040 (Conditional Uses) would
be amended as in the proposed Ordinance.
Convenience gas and grocery is currently a conditional use specifically listed in the B -3 District.
cc: Kathy Glanzer
Tom Sweeney
5775 Wayzata Blvd. • Suite 555 • St. Louis Park, MN 55416 • (612) 595- 9636•Fax. 595 -9837
Page 4
