Manson <br />Attached is a contract with the Department of Corrections relative to their Institution Community <br />Work Crew. This contract provides the City with daily service from the work crew for 2014 at a <br />cost of $475.00 per day (same rate as 2012). This amount reflects the costs of supervision. <br />Crews may consist of up to ten crew members plus a crew leader. Some of the uses we are <br />contemplating include rain water garden planting, removal of brush, other parks projects, and <br />storm clean -up. For 2013 we authorized an "as needed" basis where utilization of this program <br />would be less costly than other options. <br />Staff recommends approval of the contract as submitted on the same basis as 2013. <br />
