ATTACHMENT #4 CITY HALL REMODELING Lobby: • Larger TV? Yes, especially since you indicated the lobby tv should be on during meetings. Prices have come down on larger screens considerably. This location does have a Comcast DTA. Conference Room: • Replace White Board (Smart Board ? ?) Mount the projector on the ceiling or purchase an additional projector? Have a computer available or the proper cabling to connect to the smart board /projector /whatever. Wiring to tap into the speakers in the conference room. Council Room: • Backdrop Yes! Something with some texture. Wood or stone look great on camera, even fabric panels or textured paint. Something more flattering on camera. • Monitors At this point the wall - mounted monitor facing the dais and the plasma monitor seem to be hanging in there ok. The CRT in the wooded cabinet is older, and 4:3 aspect ratio. As equipment is replaced, the standard will be 16:9. Are you looking at individual monitors for each seat at the dais? I have seen setups like this. It can allow the Council to see document camera material, presentations more clearly. • Speakers ?? The existing ones work, and they are seldom used. • Lighting Yes! There are some holes, especially near the document table, and other areas with uneven hot spots. Lighting for television should be coordinated with the backdrop and other room changes. • Electrical Outlet Built in to Dais? There are a few, but with more computers, iPads, and other devices, there could always be more. • Additional Ethernet ports at dais. (Or does the wi -fi cover the needs ?) Office Area: • Ceiling Tile or Restore Vaulted Ceiling Note: Can anything be done about the wiring for the intercom? One of the local radio stations bleeds through, especially at night. 18
