Hanson <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: November 22, 2013 <br />RE: Construction Manager Selection Update <br />I have been in contact with the three construction management firms we interviewed <br />(EDS, James Steele Construction, and Bossardt). The summary sheets I prepared for <br />EDS and Bossardt are confirmed as accurate based on a seven month construction <br />schedule. EDS & Bossardt also stated that if less time were needed there would be a <br />proportional drop in their fees associated with the on -site superintendent. <br />James Steele Construction stated that the Reimbursable expenses we totaled based on the <br />sheet in their proposal would be overstated for our project. They also said they would <br />adjust their other costs to a seven month construction schedule. I will be meeting with <br />them Monday morning to get an updated cost estimate. <br />Only minimal reference checking has been done so far, but I will have that completed <br />prior to Monday's meeting. <br />
