7. The owner of the property and the owner of the storage material execute a <br />development agreement with the City specifying any additional conditions for use <br />and operation of the storage area, including a termination date for the interim use <br />permit not more than five (5) years from the date of approval. <br />The proposed amendment would alter subparagraph 3. to read as follows: <br />3. The owner of the storage material owns and operates a business (the <br />"operator ") in Little Canada zoned I -1, Light Industrial or I -P, Industrial Park. <br />The purpose of the amendment is to accommodate the needs for storage without <br />creating pressure for additional outdoor storage in the I -P areas. In addition, the <br />storage allowance (by IUP) will ease enforcement difficulties where the end result is <br />otherwise indistinguishable from the currently allowed storage allowances. <br />Summary and Recommendation <br />Planning Staff recommends the amendment as proposed. <br />pc: Kathy Glanzer <br />Steve Westerhaus <br />Lee Elfering <br />4 <br />
