MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 25, 2013 <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -11 -220 — CALLING A 2014 BUDGET <br />WORKSHOP MEETING FOR WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2013 <br />AT 6:00 P.M. AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2962 & 2968 The City Administrator reported that he was unable to complete the <br />RICE STREET draft of the PUD Agreement for 2962 and 2968 Rice Street, and <br />PUD indicated that he would schedule this matter on the December 18, 2013 <br />AGREEMENT Council meeting agenda. <br />SALES The Council and Administrator discussed the recent League of MN <br />TAX Cities article relative to sales tax exemption for cities beginning in <br />EXEMPTION 2014 and issues related to impacts on warranties. The Administrator <br />reported that he would forward this information to James Steele <br />Construction and discuss the appropriate safeguards for the City in relation <br />to the Public Works /Parks Facility. <br />LEAH The City Administrator commented on the donation of $5,000 the City <br />BROECKER received for Spooner Park improvements from the Leah Broecker <br />ESTATE Estate. The City Clerk indicated that the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />DONATION will consider this matter and make a recommendation to the Council for <br />the use of these funds. The Clerk indicated that the Estate made a similar <br />donation to the Little Canada Historical Society.
