Explanation of Conditions in PUD Permit
(Resolution #2011 -7 -131)
• PUD Permit Limited to the Outdoor Storage of Industrial Grade Lumber wit!'
the stipulation that that outdoor storage not exceed 60,000 Square Feet ana
no higher than 14 feet.
We will continue to store Industrial Grade Lumber Products but are requesting
that we increase the limits of 60,000 square feet and 14 foot stack height to
72,000 square feet and 20 foot stack height.
• All trucks and trailers on the site are for loading of materials and not to be
used for storage.
No change to this requirement.
• Allowing one trailer on site to be used for Dust Collection and Storage.
Request increase from 1 trailer to 3 trailers on site. We would like to clarify
that trailers are never used for storage of dust (loading and transport only -no
long term storage). When a trailer is full, it is switched out with an empty one
immediately. We currently fill 2 -4 trailers per week. We are requesting the
need for 3 trailers because this allows us to use one as an active trailer (being
loaded), one is a blow -by trailer (that collects overflow dust), the 3rd trailer is
used as a backup to switch out the first trailer when it is full.
• Review and approval by Fire Marshall.
While we are requesting increased storage height, this request still falls within
section 1909.24909.4 of the Minnesota State Fire Code.
• The property owner enter into a Development Agreement with the City
defining all PUD Permit conditions.
No change, outside of the cianges recuested in this amendment.
Requested Extension of PUD Related to Building Expansion
(Resolution #2011 -7 -132)
Waite we have no current plans to expand the buildings on this property,
given the rapid growth of our business, we would like to keep this option
open. We would request another 3 year extension to t .is resolution, if
acceptable to the council.
6
