■ The City entirely self -funds a STD program that would encompass the two <br />options listed immediately above. <br />■ Employees would be required to exhaust all PTO benefits during the time <br />period before LTD kicks in. <br />Additionally, a staff member has requested that the Council consider allowing existing <br />employees to choose between the sick leave /vacation policy or the PTO policy. <br />It should be noted that the Council's decision relative to item 2 above may impact the need for a <br />65 day maximum carry -over allowance. As a result, it would be staffs recommendation that the <br />PTO parameters included in the Council's agenda packet be adopted as proposed with the issues <br />of Carry-Over and STD left to be determined. It is staff plan that additional information could be <br />presented to the Council at a workshop meeting on Monday, January 611' <br />41 <br />
