He noted that given there are no changes
proposed along this portion of Highway 36, therefore, MN DOT standards
would not be triggered to put up a noise wall.
There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by McGraw, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was
closed.
McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -12 -230 — ADOPTING THE 2014 TAX LEVY
FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA AS FOLLOWS:
GROSS TAX LEVY $2, 794,384
General Fund $2,435,573
Debt Levy $81,520
Fire Equipment Fund $120,091
Infrastructure Fund $157,200
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). BONDS 2008A
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The Administrator noted that the City has not used tax levy dollars to
support debt service on G.O. Bonds 2008A. He pointed out that tax levy
dollars will be shown to support debt service for 2014 for the bonds that
will be sold to finance the Public Works /Parks Facility. However, future
debt service on these bonds will be paid with water and sewer depreciation
funds and the levy will be eliminated.
13
