MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 18, 2013 <br />that MN DOT has many standards in place that will trigger the <br />construction of noise walls. He noted that given there are no changes <br />proposed along this portion of Highway 36, therefore, MN DOT standards <br />would not be triggered to put up a noise wall. <br />There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by McGraw, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -12 -230 — ADOPTING THE 2014 TAX LEVY <br />FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA AS FOLLOWS: <br />GROSS TAX LEVY $2, 794,384 <br />General Fund $2,435,573 <br />Debt Levy $81,520 <br />Fire Equipment Fund $120,091 <br />Infrastructure Fund $157,200 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -12 -231— APPROVING THE BONDED <br />INDEBTEDNESS TAX LEVY REDUCTIONS AS RECOMMENDED <br />BY CITY STAFF WHICH RESULT IN NO BONDED <br />INDEBTEDNESS TAX LEVY FOR G.O. BONDS 2008A <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Administrator noted that the City has not used tax levy dollars to <br />support debt service on G.O. Bonds 2008A. He pointed out that tax levy <br />dollars will be shown to support debt service for 2014 for the bonds that <br />will be sold to finance the Public Works /Parks Facility. However, future <br />debt service on these bonds will be paid with water and sewer depreciation <br />funds and the levy will be eliminated. <br />13 <br />
