Hanson <br />Attached is the draft contract with the Little Canada Fire Department for 2014. This <br />document has not yet received their approval. Here are the key changes to the document: <br />• Provides for only a 90 -day contract to allow time to work on Relief Funding Plan. <br />• Added responses to accidents with injuries as a basic duty. <br />• Revised quarterly payments to approved 2014 budget, not including Fire State <br />Aid and our Relief Contribution. Therefore, those amounts are not part of the <br />quarterly payments (just like with past contracts). Given we don't receive this <br />dollars until later in the year (tax settlements June & December and the State Aid <br />payment in September /October); I did not see a reason to advance those funds at <br />an earlier timeline. <br />• Modified contract amount to reflect 2014 approved budget ($317,841.78). This <br />amount does not include the City's contribution to the Relief program nor Fire <br />State Aid as noted above. <br />• Added a provision to indicate trial nature of Duty Crew program and need to <br />accomplishments report by July 15 °i. <br />• Modified capital and reserve needs amount to reflect 2014 budget. <br />Subject to any comments /modifications by the LCFD, staff would recommend approval <br />of the contract as presented. <br />cc: LCFD <br />
