515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: October 19, 1995
RE: Keller Parkway Water Main Project
Improvement /93 -10
MAYOR
Michael I. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Issues the Council should be aware of relative to this project
are fairly minor based on the information I have. The assessment
rate was reduced from the $4,600 at the improvement hearing to
the $4,510 figure using our water main assessment policy for
single frontage lots. The only concern I have been made aware of
is the assessment for 2755 Lakeside Court, the Chris Cardinal
property. In this case, the homeowner states that he requested
we assess him for water main when Lakeside Court is improved in
the future rather than with this project. While my records do
not indicate this request, his request would result in consistent
treatment for his property and the property across the street at
655 Keller Parkway. In this case, that property owner asked to
be assessed when Lakeside Court is improved, and no service was
installed for his property. I would recommend deleting Mr.
Cardinal from this assessment roll with the understanding that he
would be assessed at the time Lakeside Court is improved.
JRH:kpv
Page 40
