2442 Rice Street #158 <br />Little Canada, MN 55113 <br />July 31, 1995 <br />Mayor and Council Members <br />City Hall <br />515 East Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />Dear Mr. Mayor and Council Members: <br />I am hereby submitting my application to be considered for the <br />vacancy on the Parks And Recreation Commission for the City of <br />Little Canada. <br />I have had five years experience as a City Commissioner in the City <br />of Chula Vista, CA serving as member and chairperson. My specific <br />area of expertise on that commission was Cultural Arts. I have also <br />been involved with children's summer recreation programs amd I was <br />founding chairperson for the City Music Festival. I served for <br />three years on the Bayfront Development Commission and four years <br />as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. <br />I recently retired from my restaurant business and relocated to <br />Minnesota. I currently teach Culinary Arts to disadvantaged youth <br />at Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center in St. Paul, a Department of <br />Labor Contract. <br />I would enjoy the opportunity to serve our community of Little <br />Canada with the same commitment and enthusiasm that I gave to the <br />Mayor, Council Members, and citizens of Chula Vista, CA. <br />I am enclosing my resume and references for your consideration. <br />Thank you for taking the time to review my application. <br />Pat Ables <br />Page 51 <br />
