However, we would offer the following observations and ask
that they be introduced as comments at the pnhlir hearing and he made a
permanent part of the record on this matter,
We are pleased that the City is working with a Development Guide and is
making every effort to secure development proposals that fall within the
objectives which are a part of those guidelines.
In Tax Increment Financing District No. 2 -1, we note that plans are for
additional development within the Market Place Shopping Center area, but
these plans apparently are not delineated at this time. We ask that you
keep us updated about any development which is actually scheduled to take
place. Further, we hope that such development will assist in increasing the
number of full -time equivalent, permanent head -of- household jobs. Should a
future business need assistance in securing qualified employees, the
County's Job Training Service would be most interested in being involved in
such an effort.
In Tax Increment Financing District No. 3, we note that the City wishes to
provide public improvement costs which will decrease the assessments to
approximately $10,000 per lot. What price range of housing is anticipated
on these eleven parcels?
Mbn esota's First Home Rule County
prhiIdon rooydo4p .porwihamJnIaam oti0k pout* nmu Mnlopt
Page 5
