PERFORMANCE REVIEWS <br />An objective performance review system in accordance with <br />position descriptions shall be established by the City <br />Administrator for the purpose of having supervisors and <br />department heads periodically evaluate the performance of their <br />employees using the prescribed form for this purpose. The <br />quality of performance rendered by the employee in the past will, <br />in every case, receive due consideration in such personnel <br />decisions as promotions, transfers, demotions, discipline, <br />terminations and, where applicable, salary adjustments. <br />Performance reviews shall be discussed with the employee, but <br />such evaluations will not be available to unauthorized persons. <br />Performance reviews shall take place on a regular basis and shall <br />be retained a part of the employee's personnel file. A <br />performance review will also be conducted near the conclusion of <br />the learning and evaluation period and at any other times deemed <br />appropriate by the employee's supervisor. <br />15 <br />
