515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(651) 766 -4029 / FAX: (651) 766 -4048
w w w.ci.l i the -ca nada, mn. us
MEMORANDUM
MAYOR
13i11 Blesener
COUNCIL,
Rick Montour
John Keis
Michael McGraw
Shelly Boss
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: January 17, 2014
RE: Schletty Drive Improvement #2014 -2 — 6:30 p.m.
Attached is the Improvement Hearing notice for Schletty Drive. Also attached is the feasibility
report including a draft assessment role and minutes from the neighborhood meeting held on
November 18t1i.
We did receive a list of questions from the "residents of Schletty Drive" that has also been
attached. The City Engineer will be prepared to address these issues during his presentation on
Wednesday.
Finally, some of the residents asked about the possibility of installing decorative street lights.
Our preliminary investigation indicates that each light would cost about $4,000. I would assume
three lights at a minimum would be desired. We will need to determine if they are interested in
this option or not.
A resolution ordering the improvement is also enclosed with this material. We need a 4 /5°is vote
to move forward given this is a "city initiated" project.
1
