Hanson <br />The terms of office for Jeff Heikke, Tom Maida, and Kevin Steinert expired on December 31, <br />2013. There is also currently a vacancy due to Dan Slain's resignation this past fall. Therefore, <br />the Parks & Recreation Commission has four vacancies. Three of these vacancies are for three <br />year terms, and one vacancy is for a one year term. <br />The City has received letters requesting reappointment from Jeff Heikke, Tom Maida, and Kevin <br />Steinert. Letters of interest were also received from Jon Joriman and David Miller. <br />The Parks & Recreation Commission Interview Committee consisting of Mayor Bill Blesener, <br />Council Member Mike McGraw, and Parks & Rec Director Jim Morelan interviewed Messrs. <br />Joriman and Miller on December 16th and has the following appointment recommendation for <br />the Council's consideration at Wednesday's meeting. <br />The committee recommends reappointment of current members Heikke, Maida, and Steinert to <br />three year terms. In addition, the committee recommends appointment of David Miller to fill the <br />one year term created by the mid -term resignation of Dan Slain. <br />Please also note that the updated Parks & Recreation Commission Ordinance calls for the Mayor <br />to make a recommendation for Parks & Recreation Commission Chair. The Council will then <br />make the actual Chair appointment. The Commission will select their own Vice Chair at their <br />first meeting in January. <br />1 <br />
