April 4, 1995
Honorable Mayor and City Council of Little Canada
515 E. Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
Please accept this letter as my application for, and sincere
interest in, serving as a member of the Little Canada Planning
Board.
With little land resources left and growth the only tax option for
residents of our city, development must be regarded with longevity
and aesthetics in mind. I have an abiding concern about the
importance of that growth. The deliberations and influence of the
this initial body in its recommendation powers to the Mayor and
Council are important components of our governing system.
I know that growth is far from the only problems the Planning Board
deals with. Citizens need variances, need changes, need to be
',he.ard, :and be informed of the limits or rules currently imposed on
sour private property. I. feel comfortable at the task of "catching
up ". on.the problems, and in. the. short term, representing citizens
%.along the 35E,.Centerville Road corridor.
.I have:been a. resident of .Little Canada for over 40 years. In that
time I have taken an active part in several school and community
activities. At one time I also served as a member of the Park
Commission and currently have an interest in the Community Pride
program. In addition, my career as a Law Firm Administrator has
provided me with a varied economic, facilities management and
personnel background that can bring diversity to the Board.
•
I respectfully request your consideration of my interest in this
appointment by accepting this letter of application.
Yours Very Truly,
Edith M.
