April 17, 1995
To: Little Canada City Council and Staff
Re: Tima Property Division
Dear council members and staff:
We are writing to convey our concerns with the property division and street
improvement/cul -de -sac issues you are considering for our neighborhood.
We are opposed to the construction of Jackson Street as an option to address the
turnaround situation at the ends ofBluwood and Australian. One of the biggest reasons we
purchased our home was because of its location on a dead -end street. During the years we
have lived here, we have experienced the many benefits that living on a dead -end provides
including: limited traffic; slower moving traffic; the safety of our children; the deterrent to
crime; etc. For these reasons and others, we are strongly opposed to the construction of
Jackson Street.
To address the turnaround problem and the Tima request, we favor the construction of 35'
cul-de -sacs at the ends of Bluwood and Australian as shown on Drawing No. 3 in
Northwest Associated Consultants memo dated February 1, 1995 (copy attached). We
would suggest that the city pursue the acquisition of the necessary property from the
owners affected through whatever means necessary. We believe that this option best
serves the neighborhood and ultimately the City of Little Canada.
SASL
name(s) -
address
PAGE 1
