Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
I have been reviewing a draft of the proposed contract with the
consulting group relative to the preparation of the Rice Street
Redevelopment Guide. The contract document is fairly straight
forward in that it references the work program as presented in
the proposal documents. It indicates a maximum fee not to exceed
$46,000, provides an hourly rate schedule for services, and
includes a time line for project completion. One change I have
asked for relates to a penalty clause if completion does not
occur by early September through no fault of the City. This
topic is being discussed among the consultants and a re -draft of
the contract should be received. Assuming the penalty clause
issue is resolved, I will be recommending approval of the
contract as presented.
Should you have any comments or questions in the meantime, please
let me know.
JRH:kpv
Page 35
