City of little Canada <br />Tree Removal Services Agreement <br />Section One —Tree and Stump Removal <br />1. Cost is per diameter inch. All trees shall be measured for diameter at 4.5 feet above the ground <br />OR the tree shall be measured at diameter at breast height (DBH), Trees that have multiple <br />stems shall be measured below the unions and shall be considered one tree. <br />2. Accessible trees are trees that are deemed easy to get to with the required equipment to <br />perform the job. These are typically boulevard and /or park trees. <br />3. Limited or no access is defined as areas where the required equipment cannot get to the tree to <br />perform the work. <br />4. Stump removal shall be Included on all tree removal prices unless the City states that it does not <br />want the stump ground on a specific tree(s). Stumps shall be removed at 8" or deeper. <br />Section Two —Stump Removal Only <br />1. The removal of a stump is determined by the diameter of the cut face plus 1/3 diameter of each <br />additional root flare over three -feet in length. <br />2, All stumps and large surface roots shall be removed at least eight (8) inches below grade. <br />Section 3 — Tree Pruning <br />1. Removing deadwood from a tree shall consist of removing one -inch and greater diameter only. <br />2. Full pruning shall include broken branches, deadwood greater than or equal to one -inch <br />diameter, and any crossing branches that shall be billed per diameter inch. <br />3. Cost per hour for tree pruning shall include all necessary equipment with a 2 or 3 person crew. <br />Section 4— Wood Hauling and Disposal <br />1. Wood disposal shall consist of any type of wood debris that is clean of dirt and rocks. The <br />charge shall be based on a per load basis with a one load minimum charge. <br />Section 5 —Storm Damage <br />1. The tree contractor shall be expected to be the City's primary contractor after a stone event. <br />Routine cleanup shall begin after all primary hazards have been removed and shall continue <br />until it is completed, The routine cleanup shall begin no later than seven (7) days after the <br />storm event. Any changes to the cleanup must be approved by the City of Little Canada no later <br />than seven (7) days after the storm event. Wood hauling and disposal for storm event cleanup <br />shall be billed at the same per load rate as regular wood hauling and disposal. <br />
