MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 13, 2014 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of <br />March, 2014 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Tom Fischer called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Steve Ledin <br />Ms. Heidi Murphy <br />Mr. Nick Schwalbach <br />ABSENT: Ms. Jennifer Maleitzke <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mr. Kevin Schmitz, Cable TV <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />MINUTES The February 13, 2014 Planning Commission meeting minutes were <br />approved as submitted. <br />REZONING Dan Stockness, Stockness Properties, appeared before the Commission <br />OR requesting either a Rezoning from Industrial Park (I -P) District to <br />VARIANCE — Light Industrial (I -1) District or a Variance from the I -P District outdoor <br />3065 SPRUCE storage standards for his property at 3065 Spruce Street. <br />STREET — <br />STOCKNESS The City Planner described the property in question which is about 2 acres <br />PROPERTIES in size and has a building of 20,000 square feet. Mr. Stockness currently <br />uses the back portion of the property for outdoor storage for his tenants. <br />The Planner noted that over the years the amount of outdoor storage has <br />grown to beyond what is allowed in the I -P District. In order to retain the <br />amount of outdoor storage that currently exists, Stockness has applied for <br />either a Rezoning to I -1 District which allows a greater amount of outdoor <br />storage or a Variance from the 1 -P District outdoor storage standards. <br />
