6. The home occupation shall meet all applicable fire and building codes. <br />The home occupation shall be subject to all recommendations of the City <br />Building Official. The City of Little Canada also reserves the right to inspect the <br />premises in which the occupation is being conducted to insure compliance with <br />the provisions of this subdivision or any conditions additionally imposed. <br />7. There shall be no exterior display or exterior signs or interior display or <br />interior signs which are visible from outside the dwelling. <br />The applicant has indicated that there will be no exterior signage or advertising. <br />8. All home occupations shall comply with the provisions of the City <br />Nuisance Ordinance. <br />No nuisances are expected as a result of the firearm engraving business. <br />9. No home occupation shall be conducted between the hours of 10:00 p.m. <br />and 7:00 a.m. unless said occupation is contained entirely within the <br />principal building and will not require any on -street parking facilities. <br />The applicant indicates that the employee's presence on the property would be <br />between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. <br />The requirements for a special home occupation permit are as follows: <br />1. No person other than a resident shall conduct the home occupation, except <br />where the applicant can satisfactorily prove unusual or unique conditions <br />or need for non-residential assistance and that this exception would not <br />compromise the intent of this Ordinance. <br />The proposed business proposes to employ one person. It is not clear from the <br />application whether there are unusual conditions related to the business, other <br />that work volume. <br />2. Examples of special home occupations include: barber and beauty <br />services, photography studio, group lessons, saw sharpening, small <br />appliance and small engine repair and the like. <br />Office uses without employees are otherwise considered to be permitted home <br />occupations. <br />3 <br />
