MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 25, 2014
THANKS On behalf of the City, Montour thanked the City's Public Works staff for
TO PUBLIC hard work in minimizing water and sewer issues which are a result of
WORKS recent heavy rains. He also noted the long hours that Public Works put
STAFF in this past weekend repairing a watermain break on LaBore Road.
CUP — Mayor Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider a request for
3065 Conditional Use Permit allowing open and outdoor storage at 3065 Spruce
SPRUCE Street from Dan Stockness, Stockness Properties. It was noted that the
STREET — City Planner and the Planning Commission recommended approval of the
STOCKNESS Conditional Use Permit.
The City Planner reported that the property at 3065 Spruce Street was
recently rezoned from Industrial -Park (I -P) District to Light -Industrial
(I-1) District. The I-1 District allows for a greater amount of outdoor
storage, and the applicant has applied for a Conditional Use Permit for
outdoor storage under the I-1 standards. The Planner noted that the
outdoor storage will occur at the rear of the property, does meet I-1
standards, and he is, therefore, recommending approval of the CUP as
requested.
Blesener noted that a question was raised at the Planning Commission
meeting about the condition of the outdoor storage. Blesener noted that it
is up to the property owner to ensure that outdoor storage occurs in an
orderly fashion.
Dan Stockness indicated that he works with the Code Enforcement Officer
to ensure compliance with the City's standards, and does obtain an annual
license for his storage use.
There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was
closed.
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2019-6-101 — APPROVING A CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT ALLOWING OPEN AND OUTDOOR STORAGE AT
3065 SPRUCE STREET, STOCKNESS PROPERTIES, SUBJECT TO
COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY
PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS JUNE 6, 2019 REPORT
2
