MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 24, 2014
DISTRICT 6-1
THANKS TO
ROCKY WAITE
created, it initially consisted of only 2966 Arcade Street. Access to this
parcel went between the Paddock and McCumber properties. The
Administrator noted that the developer of 2966 Arcade Street, Masterpiece
Homes, agreed to sell the access area and a small strip on the east side of
the McCumber property to the McCumbers when the Pinetree Pond
development occurred. The transaction was completed last year and the
McCumbers would like to combine these properties into one in order to
receive one tax statement. Given the access area and small strip are part
of the TIF District, they must be decertified from the district in order for
the combination to occur. Ramsey County has requested the Council pass
a resolution decertifying the parcel from the District.
The Administrator noted that removing the parcels from the District does
not pose any materials issues for the District as there are no structures on
this land. The County has also indicated that given the values of the
District are now higher given the Pinetree Pond development, this small
parcel can be decertified with no issues for the TIF District.
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2014-11-220 —APPROVING THE ELIMINATION
OF PARCEL NO. 04-29-22-23-0070 FROM TAX INCREMENT
FINANCING DISTRICT 6-1 WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE
CANADA
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
On behalf of the City Council, McGraw extended thanks to Rocky
Waite for his work on the Veterans Memorial project. McGraw indicated
that the Memorial is a great addition to the City. Montour noted that work
has now begun on phase II for the project.
ADJOURN There being no further business, the meetin_ was adjourned at 7:47 p.m.
Attest;
a Li LArgeah
Rick Montgiir, Acting Mayor
anson, City Administrator
5
