Hanson <br />Attached is a proposed change order for the Axel H. Ohman contract related to the Public Works <br />Building recommended by our construction manager, James Steele Construction. (Axel Ohman is <br />the masonry contractor on the job and holds one of the multiple prime contracts.) You will note that <br />this change order consists of two components. They are as follows: <br />• Deduction of $43,000 for elimination of the stone veneer on the office area facade. (Note: <br />This was a previous decision of the Council last summer.) <br />• Addition of $6,819 for providing a "keyway" in the footing. (See attached diagram for info <br />on the keyway.) This was needed to allow the installation of the tip up concrete panels and <br />apparently the detail was not clear in the specifications. <br />Staff recommends approval of Change Order #1 for Axel H. Ohman as recommended by the <br />Construction Manager. <br />1 <br />
