515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600
(651) 766-4029 / FAX: (651) 766-4048
www.cilittle-eanada.mn.us
MAYOR
John Keis
COUNCIL
Rick Montour
Michael McGraw
Toni Fischer
Christian Torkelson
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Keis & Members of City Council
FROM: Bill Dircks, Public Works Superintendent
DATE: January 22, 2015
RE: Public Works Facility Project Change Orders
There are three change order requests detailed below. Staff recommends approving all
three change orders as requested.
1. Crawford Door, Inc. — The plan called for an insulated door between the wash bay
and the vehicle storage area. An insulated door is not necessary so Crawford
Door has provided a credit of $3500 for switching to a non -insulated door.
2. James Steele Construction — JSC is requesting a transfer of costs from Fabcon to
JSC due to an issue with footing elevations. JSC provided grout work in order to
complete work on time. It is a net zero change, just a transfer of $2017 from
Fabcon to JSC.
3. KMH Erectors, Inc. — KMH is requesting additional funds associated with
assembling long span joists in the field. The specification called for joists to be
shipped as one piece but that was not possible due to road restrictions and site
access. The additional labor and materials amounted to $9922.
1
