515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600
(651) 766-4029 / FAX: (651) 766-4048
www.ci.little-canada.mn. us
MAYOR
John Keis
COUNCIL
Rick Montour
Michael McGraw
Tom Fischer
Christian Torkelson
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Keis & Members of City Council
FROM: Bill Dircks, Public Works Superintendent
DATE: February 6, 2015
RE: Public Works Facility Project Change Order
The attached change order is for electrical work to be performed by NAC outside of the
scope in the plans.
1. Conduit and wire for future flag pole: At some point in the future the Public
Works facility would like to have a flag pole(s) and flags. If that does happen the
poles will need to be lit at night so a conduit and wire will need to be brought out
of the building to avoid higher costs down the road.
2. An electric receptacle in the salt storage facility was requested by public works
staff so that the hot box asphalt trailer could be plugged in to keep the asphalt
warm and sheltered without having it inside the building where it would emit a
strong odor. The will likely be other uses for the receptacle as well.
The total cost of the work is $1,019. Staff recommends approving the change order for
electrical additions.
