Hanson
For the past two years the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD) requested
sponsorship money from the City for its annual WaterFest event that is held at Lake Phalen Park.
In 2013 the City approved a $500 sponsorship for the event and in 2014 a $600 sponsorship.
The cost of this sponsorship was added to the City's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program
as an annual expenditure in the name of improving water quality and education.
This year the RWMWD has again invited the City to become a Silver Level Sponsor with a $600
donation. The Silver Level Sponsorship will allow for the City's logo to he prominently
displayed on the WaterFest poster and on the web page and press releases. The City has
budgeted for this expense, and staff is recommending approval at this time.
WaterFest is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
1
