MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 14, 2015 TRIBUTE TO MAYOR BLESENER LCRA ICE FISHING CONTEST AND BOOYA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY Keis reported that Mayor Bill Blesener passed away the Sunday before Christmas after battling cancer. Keis commented that Blesener was a great Mayor and Council Member for the City. Keis indicated that he had the pleasure of having Blesener as a friend and stated that he will be missed. At this point in the meeting a video was played highlighting Blesener's service to Little Canada. Keis thanked Shannon Hunter of CTV and Vanessa Van Alstine, Cable Producer, for the work they did on this video. Council Member Montour was also commended for his excellent narration. Keis reported that the Little Canada Recreation Association's Annual Ice Fishing Contest will be held at Gervais Beach on Saturday, January 3E'. In conjunction with the Ice Fishing Contest, the Little Canada Fire Department will be hosting a booya at the fire station. At this point in the meeting, the City Council temporarily adjourned and convened as the Economic Development Authority for the purpose of appointing 2015 Officers and adopting the 2015 Budget. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-1-2 — RECESSING THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING AS THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution adopted. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-1-3 — APPOINTING THE FOLLOWING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OFFICERS FOR 2015: John Keis, President Rick Montour, Vice President Mike McGraw, Treasurer Joel Hanson, Assistant Treasurer Joel Hanson, Secretary Tom Fischer, Director Christian Torkelson, Director 2
