MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: March 18, 2015 <br />TO: Kathy Glanzer <br />FROM: Kevin Beck <br />RE: Amending Liquor License Ordinance <br />Based on staff's recommendation, our office has drafted the following proposed amendments to <br />Chapter 703. <br />Amend § 703.020 to add another class of license: <br />703.020. TYPES OF LICENSES. There shall be six (6) five (5) types of licenses issued <br />for the sale of intoxicating liquor, namely: <br />(a) On -sale restaurant intoxicating liquor License shall permit the sale of intoxicating <br />liquor for consumption on the premises in conjunction with the consumption of <br />food. <br />(b) On -sale intoxicating liquor license shall permit the sale of intoxicating liquor for <br />consumption on the premises. <br />e On -sale restaurant -event center intoxicatin li uor license shall .ermit the sale of <br />intoxicating liquor for consumption on the premises in conjunction with the <br />consumption of food. <br />(d) Off -sale intoxicating liquor license shall permit the sale of intoxicating liquor in <br />original packages for consumption off the premises only. <br />Temporary on -sale intoxicating liquor licenses shall permit the sale of <br />intoxicating liquor for a specific period pursuant to Section 703.110. <br />(f) On -sale 2:00 a.m. intoxicating liquor license shall permit the sale of intoxicating <br />liquor for consumption on the premises between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 <br />a.m. <br />(e) <br />Add a § 703.035 defining the nrinimnnt standards for the new type of license: <br />703.030. MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR "ON -SALE RESTAURANT -EVENT CENTER" <br />INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE. The following minimum requirements must be satisfied <br />prior to the issuance of an "On -Sale Event Center" intoxicating liquor license. <br />(1) Building Area, An event center building shall have a minimum of 10 000 square feet. <br />(2) Full -Service Kitchen. An event center shall have a full-service kitchen equipped with <br />adequate personnel, equipment and food to prepare meals. Food service shall be required at all <br />events where intoxicating liquors are sold, served, or consumed. <br />1 <br />
