BRAKING
Following a period of trying something different, you are often discouraged to discover that not much
has really changed. In fact, too often, we experience not just a braking that slows us down but also a
reversal. What's going on here?
One solution to making long-term, substantive change is based on the work of Harvard researchers
Robert Kegan, PhD, and Lisa Laskow Lahey, EdD, who have named the brakes we unconsciously apply as
"immunity to change."
The researchers have designed a four -column "immunity map," a process of self-examination to identify
and adjust assumptions that prevent meaningful change. The class facilitators will guide you through
your own mapping to reveal the brakes that stop you from making a change you desire.
Dealing With Difficult People
Instructor(s) Karl Mulle
325 Cedar St. Suite 250
St. Paul, MN 55101
952-842-9890
BCSkarl@aol.com
Unfortunately, every workplace has its share of difficult people to deal with.
