Hanson Effective January 1, 2015, the tipping fee used to calculate the disposal rates in the organized collection contract went from $56.81/ton charged in 2014 to $58.22/ton. Below are the updated 2015 Trash and Recycling Rates based on the increased tipping fee. It should also he noted that collection fee component did increase from 2014, but that increase was negotiated with the haulers during the contract renewal in 2011. With the current agreement, the collection fee has preset increases in the collection fee over the five-year contract term. These two factors translate to an approximate 2.2% increase in the total monthly rate dependent on the level of service. Based on the increased tipping fee, city staff recommends approval of the updated 2015 Trash and Recycling Rates for Attachtnent A of the Organized Collection Contract and the City Fee Schedule.
