Our study included the collection of trip generation <br />information at two similar senior housing developments located in Coon Rapids and <br />Maplewood. This information was used to estimate the number of trips for the proposed <br />development. We have also included trip generation information published by the Institute of <br />Transportation Engineers (ITE) for comparison purposes. <br />Existing Trip Generation Information <br />Trip generation information was collected at two existing senior housing developments located <br />in Coon Rapids and Maplewood. The Coon Rapids facility consists of 90 total dwelling units, <br />with 76 assisted living units and 14 memory care units. The Maplewood facility consists of 105 <br />dwelling units, with 15 independent living units, 32 memory care units, and 58 assisted living <br />units. <br />Automatic road tube traffic recorders were placed on all access driveways at each location. <br />Data was collected from Monday May 12th to Monday, May 19th, 2014. The resultant trip <br />generation information for each facility is shown in Table 1. <br />25 <br />
