APPENDIX A
PROJECT COSTS
The 2015 Capital expenditure of approximately $3,000,000 for the Centerville Road
Reconstruction Project is to be funded by bond proceeds.
The nature of the project is as follows:
Centerville Road is a County Road and therefore the timing of improvements are largely controlled by
the County with some input from the City. To undertake the project, Little Canada is leading project
and providing initial funding with County reimbursement of eligible costs pursuant to their cost
participation policy. By using this method of financing and construction, Little Canada is able to
secure the reconstruction of this roadway in 2015 versus 2017 or later. Current estimates would
indicate that split of costs for this $3 million dollar project are $2.2 for Ramsey County and $800,000
for Little Canada. The final cooperative agreement between the two entities is currently being
finalized and will be in place before bonds are sold and bids for construction are awarded.
Three improvement methods proposed.
North of Allen Avenue will likely be improved by Cold In-place Recycling & paving.
Most of this project area will remain a rural section.
Between Allen Avenue and Gervais Creek the improvement will be a hybrid
rehabilitation/reconstruction. This project area will be upgraded to an urban section
with concrete curb and gutter with the addition of a sidewalk on east side.
Between Gervais Creek and Little Canada Road the improvement will be a 2" mill and
overlay.
Ehlers & Associates, Inc. 10 Page 7
