March 6, 2015
City of Little Canada,
Gordies is applying to request amendment of the conditional use permit for
outdoor activities. Activities include Bags, Volleyball, Horseshoes, Body Ball and
Bocce Ball. It has been brought to our attention that we need to replace one of our
Blue Spruce trees. Arrangements have already been made to do so as soon as the
weather and ground conditions permit. This gap in the trees allowed visibility of a
sand pile. Any future sand brought in for horseshoes will be stored on the East side
of our line of trees therefore eliminating visibility. y n ; ,+ R ev+1/, 0 C Lid
If lights are required for play they will be extinguished by 10 pm. Any music
played will be within legal decibel levels and will also be shut down by l Opm
nightly.
Our leagues play during the week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday. We do not play on all of these nights but we would like the ability to do so
if business dictates. We would like the ability to run 6 tournaments on weekends in
a calendar year. We have also applied to the State for a liquor Caterer's Permit to
cover any patrons drinking alcoholic beverages during game play.
Gordies has always respected our neighbors and someone of authority is always
present to monitor games. We have a good relationship with some of the neighbors
who face our game courts. They will be supporting us with letters and/or corning
to the council meeting.
Thank you for taking the time to consider our request.
Respectfully,
Kim Cossack
general Manager
